We selected the theme for the, this year’s IFF very thoughtfully. A lot of what we do around fiscal oversight can seem very bureaucratic and merely administrative in function. But at the end of the day, the IDEA Federal Grant Award is first and foremost to help support direct services that are provided to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities and their families. And the use of those funds to ensure that IDEA is appropriately implemented, that the funds are used as they were intended, that the dollars are primarily being used to ensure that children are equitably served and appropriately served in their natural environments and in their communities.s really the “why.” That’s we care about the data, that’s why we care about the money, that’s why we care about what you use your dollars for. And it’s important that we never lose sight of that because all programmatic decisions that ultimately are around service delivery and who provides the services and how well they’re provided and when and where, have to be tied to how you can fund your program. And so, the IFF is really intended to always keep that focus point in mind, that what we do with our dollars and the data that helps make the decisions around our money and our use of funds ultimately has an implication for children and families.
