Leslie Fox, PhD, is Director for Early Childhood Mental Health, Development and Disability programs at WestEd and Senior Advisor for Part C technical assistance with CIFR. She oversees cross-sector early childhood policies and practices aimed at improving outcomes for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Before WestEd, she worked at the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs, providing monitoring and technical assistance to state agencies implementing IDEA. A nationally recognized expert in program evaluation, systems alignment, and implementation science, Dr. Fox brings 30+ years of experience supporting evidence-based practices across home, school, and childcare settings. She has held academic appointments since 1999 and spent 12 years as Part C Coordinator for EDIS, serving U.S. military families in Sicily and Spain. She earned her PhD in education from UNC Chapel Hill in 2014.
