The Part B IDEA Fiscal Forum (IFF) provides opportunities for state directors

of special education and state IDEA fiscal specialists to build knowledge and

capacity by connecting and sharing with peers on critical IDEA fiscal issues.

The Center for IDEA Fiscal Reporting (CIFR) invites state special education directors and IDEA state fiscal staff to attend the Part B IFF 2024 in Denver, CO, on May 14–16. With the theme Purpose-Driven Data: Putting the “Why” Into Fiscal Processes, the event will bring together state staff from across the country, TA providers from multiple centers, and OSEP staff to share expertise on critical IDEA fiscal issues.

Begins: 9 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2024

Ends: 12 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2024

Location: Grand Hyatt Denver, 1750 Welton Street, Denver, CO 80202, (303) 295-1234

Part B IFF 2024 participants will:

  • gain knowledge to increase the fidelity of implementation of IDEA fiscal requirements to ensure appropriate use and oversight of IDEA funds;
  • build their state’s capacity to collect, report, and use special education fiscal data; and
  • collaborate with colleagues within and across states to support continued learning.

Registration is free, but space is limited. To encourage participation and collaboration from all states, CIFR will pay for lodging for two people with IDEA fiscal responsibilities per state. Please coordinate with your state director to determine who the lodging should cover. Travel costs will be the responsibility of all participants.

NOTE: To provide all states an equal opportunity to attend, at this time, the number of registrants per state is capped at two. IDEA fiscal staff from any state that wants to send and pay lodging for more participants should register to be added to a waitlist. CIFR will send an email confirmation to waitlisted staff by April 4 if their registration is accepted.
