What Is Intensive Technical Assistance? A Story from South Carolina

March 1, 2018

In 2016, the South Carolina Office of Special Education Services (OSES) engaged CIFR to provide intensive TA to help it meet its IDEA fiscal requirements, most critically in the high-stakes area of maintenance of state financial support (MFS). Read this vignette to learn how CIFR worked with OSES to support South Carolina’s development of a valid calculation methodology and data collection and reporting procedures for MFS. Although every state is different, this story highlights key TA activities that may be available to your state! Please contact us with questions.
