New Tool Helps SEAs Train LEA Staff on LEA MOE Requirements

Increase the familiarity and comfort level of local educational agency staff with applying the LEA Maintenance of Effort regulatory requirements under IDEA Part B with this customizable PowerPoint training deck. The training deck includes a basic review of the regulatory requirements, examples of the requirements at work, and a list of additional resources. The deck is accompanied by a Microsoft Word Script and a Guide to Slides with presenter tips and directions for customization.

The Center for IDEA Fiscal Reporting (CIFR) is a partnership among WestEd, AEM Corporation, American Institutes for Research (AIR), Emerald Consulting, the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Center for Technical Assistance for Excellence in Special Education (TAESE) at Utah State University, and Westat. The Improve Group is CIFR's external evaluator.
