CIFR Part B Fiscal Webinar Series: IDEA Fiscal Processes and Timelines

Back to events

This series is specifically designed to offer SEA Part B fiscal staff foundational knowledge on IDEA fiscal topics and help them navigate many IDEA fiscal data collection and reporting requirements. The series will be held several times during 2021 and will provide a review of IDEA fiscal processes to be completed throughout the year with their respective timelines. Each webinar will look in-depth at a selected topic, facilitated by CIFR fiscal experts, and give SEA staff an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience with their state peers.

Session 1 Description

CIFR’s 2021 Part B Fiscal Webinar Series will kickoff on February 5th from 2:00-3:00 PM ET.

This first session will review IDEA fiscal processes that SEAs typically complete from January through March, using the IDEA Fiscal Timeline Tool co-developed by CIFR, the IDEA Data Center (IDC) and the National Center for Systemic Improvement (NCSI). CIFR staff will dive into the critical features of the maintenance of state financial support (MFS) fiscal requirement, and discuss the challenges expected or experienced by states in meeting MFS due to budget cuts and other factors related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
